Hand Painted Mithila Art Round MDF Coasters Set of 6 4 Inch Diameter
Six coasters, each one a different piece of Mithila folk art
Mithila — also known as Madhubani — is a folk painting tradition from Bihar, carried for generations by women painting on walls and floors before it ever moved to paper. The motifs here are the traditional ones: peacocks, elephants, fish, birds and human figures, rendered in the bold flat colour and dense linework the style is known for.
Each of the six coasters carries a different design, hand-painted onto sturdy MDF board. Because they're painted individually, minor variations between sets are expected — that is what distinguishes these from a printed reproduction.
What makes it different
- Authentic Mithila folk art — a living tradition, hand-painted rather than printed
- Six distinct designs — no two coasters in the set are the same
- Sturdy MDF board — holds its shape and sits flat
- 4-inch diameter — correctly sized for cups, mugs and glasses
- Matte finish — keeps the colours true without glare
